In 1997, Sheffield City Council took a bold and imaginative decision.
They made available a valuable former comprehensive school building
in 4 acres of grounds to a local charity of parents of children
with cerebral palsy.
The charity’s aim was to develop a new model of inclusion - a resource
for disabled
children, their
families, carers and those professionals who work with them at the
heart of an inclusive community centre.
In 2002, Paces handed
over to a newly-formed Development Trust comprising all Campus-resident
groups, management of the Campus and the development of the Achievement
Centre model.
